At the occasion of Asia Now 2024, the galerie Louis & Sack is delighted to present a SOLO SHOW by Korean artist Seungsoo Baek (b.1979). After the success of his first group show in France in 2023, the Paris based artist is working on a new serie of works, that will be unveiled for the first time during Asia Now. The exhibition called Silence will display unique works at the crossroads of painting and sculpture on canvas.
The originality of Seungsoo's work comes first and foremost from its diversity: drawing, sculpture, painting; but also from the polystyrene material, which he burns, cuts and slices to give relief to his canvas.
To accompany this solo show, the gallery Louis & Sack has invited a special guest from Korea for her first début in Paris : Jeong Daun (b. 1987), a fantastic female artist creating « fabric drawings ». By streching fabrics like brush strokes, she designs powerful and colorful abstract paintings.
